Skin mal:gem review - Toner/Emulsion

Skin Mal:gem

Etude House have so many cleansers, toners, cleansers etc, it’s hard to decide what to buy, so I went with the consumers favourite, Skin Mal:gem. I was really torn between this and the baking soda products, but I wanted something gentle.
I have been using Wonder Pore products, which are really amazing, but as the weather is really harsh at the moment, I wanted to use something really moisturising.

Toner:

I chose the ‘Fresh’ toner, it claims to help excessive oil production and keep pores tight and skin feeling smooth and fresh, without over-dying. My skin feels pretty tight after using it, but it does feel very clean, and after a few weeks of use, my skin does feel a little bit less oil. It’s definitely nice and clear. It also doesn’t string when I apply it, which I get from most toners. It has a very fresh and fruity scent; it smells all natural.

Moisturiser (Emulsion):

The emulsion is really, really nice. It’s very pure, and almost watery. It does not leave your skin sticky, so you can apply your primer and BB over this once you have left it to absorb into your skin for a minute or two. It has really helped improve my skin quality, and has even (almost) completely abolished a small frown line I had in-between my eyebrows. I love this product and I will continue to use it.

Shinee's picture for skin mal:gem! ><

Both the toner and the emulsion can be used in small amounts, so it seems they are really long-lasting. They are also great value for money (both items cost me around £12 on eBay.)

\(♡♡)/☆ Etude House 大好き! Mini-Haul!

Ok. Today I received a parcel which I have been waiting for for agggggeeees. It's just one of the downfalls of living a long, long way away from Korea and China, where all my cosmetics come from.:(

So, here is what I got.

1. This is an AMAZING product which I was so excited about receiving  It's Etude House Pink Candy Cake perfume balm. Honestly, this is the ideal scent for me, it's fruity (not really sweet, to be honest) but it is very girly, lasts for ages and has a nice shimmer to the balm. If you like fruity, cool, sweet scents, this is a must-have item.

2. I haven't actually tried these yet, but I thought the packaging of Etude House's charcoal chin pack was so cute I just wanted to include a little picture of it. So that's that. I will talk about it after I've used it...

3. I had to include these, because they really are the most amazing products. I dn't even know where to begin when it comes to Victoria's Secret cosmetics and body care, because the amazingness of it overwhelms me. I was in heaven in the store, and I honestly took almost an hour smelling every body cream they had in stock. I knew warm & cozy was good anyway, but this warm and sweet smell is a big, big winner. I am almost scared to use it because I don't want it to run out. On another note, I have added VS's Glow eau de parfum to my Christmas list, because it's the nicest perfume I have ever smelled.

4. Ok, very important number 4. Etude House's Skin Malgem. My skin has been really problematic recently because it's really cold here in England, and also I have a stupid work load and I'm really stressed. So I bought this to see if it calmed down my skin and got rid of some stubborn spots. I am going to give it a week or so to see if it works. So that is in the pipeline.

I have another delivery of haircare products coming tomorrow so I will write about them soon and keep updating on the Malgem!

SUPER CUTE // Hyper Japan! ハイパージャパン + かわいい!

I went to Hyper Japan yesterday in London. It was really fun, and there was TOO much cute stuff for sale.

I was very careful about what I bought, and there wasn't as many cosmetic items as I would have liked.. In fact, it was a little Otaku-fest, lots of Manga, computer stuff, and ...semi-naked anime girls on bed sheets. ( o^ ^o)

I DID manage to get a Kyary Pamyu Pamyu x Mameshiba coin purse, which was kind of expensive, but worth it, as I think this item is probably quite rare in the UK, so if I keep it boxed away I could potentially have a future winner on my hands.

My eye was drawn to a cute little pink bottle next to all the Kyary stuff... It was a selection of Body Fantasies body mists. They are amazing... I mean, really, amazing. They all smell so good, the packaging is cute, and the smell lasts forever. I can still smell it on my wrist today!

I chose 'Cotton Candy', which is really sweet, just like candy, and has a slight shimmer added to it.

I would recommend this scent to anyone who loves very girly, sweet smells. It's almost like the perfume I used when I was a kid. You can buy the stuff here, and here is the Body Fantasies website.

Review - Holika Holika Bulgarian Rose Petal Skin + Emulsion

Rose petals are good for you!

Holika Holika is another of my favourite Korean brands. The Bulgarian rose line is effective as well as packaged unusually (deep purple is not the classic colour pot for a cosmetic product). So, this stuff really caught my eye.

I have heard good things about rose water, so I was nothing but hopeful about the 20% Bulgarian Rose Water and Rose Essential Oil in this product.

On a freshly cleansed make up free face, I used Petal Skin by putting a small amount on a cotton pad and gently wiping all over my face and neck. It absorbs into the skin very quickly and creates an extremely fresh, soothed and soft feel to your face. When fully absorbed, I put a very small amount of the emulsion on my finger and gently patted it onto my entire face. It leaves the skin feeling clean, fresh and absorbs quickly.

I have seen a vast improvement in my skin quality after a few days of use. This product has a very natural smell, and soothes irritated and sensitive skin. I would recommend this product to anyone who suffers with spots, open pores and redness.

Be sure to try this product! I got mine from Sasa.com, a great site for Korean cosmetics.

Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream Bright Fit Review

Ok! So, I have had this BB cream for a while now, and have been using it almost every day. I feel I can safely review it now that my skin is used to it. I bought this BB cream because I thought it would help my skin a little and control oil. Luckily, It really has worked for me.

Coverage:
A little thick, but great when used with a suitable primer underneath (I used Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer or Wonder Pore Ever Primer Essence). It works very well with both these primers.
Colour:
I used natural Beige. I am medium-pale skinned, this colour is a little light for me. I would recommend using one shade darker than your natural skin tone unless you want a very pale look.

Longevity:
This BB cream stays on FOREVER. Even when my skin is oily, It does not budge. That is the main selling point of this BB cream for me; it's ability to stay on my skin even if I have been sitting in the blazing sunshine.

Ingredients:
As I'm not Korean, nor can I read Korean, I'm not actually sure what's in this product. It's amazingly fresh, with a nice scent. I'm assuming, as with most Etude House products, and Korean beauty products, it's pretty much 100% natural. My skin is super super sensitive, and I had no reaction for this cream. If anything, after wearing it for a couple of days, any blemishes had gone. Actually, if anybody knows what's in this BB cream, get in touch, I'd love to know!

Effects:
Creates amazingly bright, dewy skin with a very fresh feel. This product definitely has brightening, light reflecting qualities. It's almost as if if highlights. I'm not sure if it claims to... but it does!

Price:
Because I'm in the UK, I got my BB cream on eBay, so I'm not sure if I got it cheaper, or more expensive than it should be. I think I paid around #8.00 for this one. I've just ordered another one in a darker shade for around the same price. Very cheap in my opinion.  I buy all my cosmetics from Bello Girl who has an amazing eBay shop with lots of Korean Cosmetics. Shipping is super fast to the UK too which is great, and she always sends me free samples.^^

I want to live in Etude's House!

Ok. Where do I begin!? I'm a pale skinned, blonde haired girl living in London. I have an obsession with Asian cosmetic brands. By this, I'm a talking about the aforementioned Etude House, Holika Holika, Tonymoly.. The list goes on. I have found these cosmetic products a miracle for my oily, spot prone skin, and I want to share my knowledge with the rest of the world.

Korean and Japanese cosmetics, for some reason, (probably the whitening effects) have never reached mass market in the uk, but in my opinion, they should. They are truly amazing.

Stay tuned for my news, reviews, and the occasional post in Japanese if I'm feeling confident.
